Mood: waiting for wind
28th June 2009
Stand Up Paddle Boarding: Eastbourne - Spray
Wind Direction: NW going W
Wind Stength: 5 knots tops
Surf / Sea State: flat
Air Temperature: toasty
Sea Temperature: fine
Weather: Sunny
Max Speed:
Distance Covered:

Kids were windsurfing at the kids club at Spray and it was too hot to just sit and cook on the beach.
so ...
I borrowed on of their starboard SUP's and went and paddled about to keep a closer eye on the kids.
Just shorts and 0.5mm s/s top and still well toasty !
Tide was running with the wind, and made the paddle back (I was downwind keeping the kids company) a decent workout.
Must have done between an hour and hour and a half (kids session is 2 hours) and felt pretty good, especially as I'd noticed all the classic sea breeze signs ;-)
Session over and time to head for home and some lunch
